Brittany Rodriguez, freshman, stated, “I don’t like it as far as my room it seems to be cold all the time, and the food could use some work, but other than that I love that fact that the tuition is affordable and less than any other college around that I was considering. I love the Fayetteville State University step shows and homecoming as well as the haunted maze around Halloween is enjoyable.”
Finally, Zakiya White, freshman, stated “I like the quality of on campus living. Living on campus with a decent quality teaches you how to be responsible for yourself. Also, to ensure that it is safe for our students. Shawn Odom, associate director of Residential Life since June 2016, stated: “We have a few multiple ways to ensure that the quality of campus living is the best it can be. First, we have welcoming letter that we provide to students when a student becomes an on-campus learner. Second, the students have multiple places where they can express their concerns always to ensure their needs are met. Third, the student center is there with friendly attitudes to embrace any concerns a student may have and then directs them appropriately. Town hall meetings are held where students can speak their concerns as well to ensure that the quality of on campus living for the students is the best it can be.”

We create a safe environment for the student’s quality of living on campus. We create a home away from home experience and maintain a culture of care so the students have an experience with the quality of living one that they will always remember. We also provide free laundry, upgraded T.V. cable services, Wi-Fi in all residential halls, 24-hour residence hall coverage and Property Security Officers which partner with the Campus Police to ensure that the quality of on campus living is the best that it can be.”
