“El Enfermero” de la Muerte

Detenido en España en el año 2015, enfrentará juicio en Colombia, donde se cometieron los crímenes. Buitrago es acusado de intento de homicidio, homicidio y aborto sin consentimiento. De acuerdo con la salida de los medios de comunicación, BBC, “El viernes (27 de enero), las autoridades españolas dieron luz verde a la petición de un ministro de justicia colombiano y acordaron darlo en un tribunal de Bogotá”.
A Buitrago se le acusa de obligar a las mujeres en el grupo rebelde, FARC, a abortar. No sólo fueron abortos forzados, sino que a menudo fueron realizados en áreas sucias con ninguna medicación o instrumentos de funcionamiento limpios. La mayoría de las mujeres en el grupo de rebeldes eran de pequeñas aldeas indígenas en toda Colombia y se les dijo que su embarazo podría interferir con su capacidad para luchar. Una ex – combatiente de FARC declaró que fue obligada a abortar hasta cinco veces antes de que una investigación fuese iniciado contra Buitrago.
No sólo enfrentará un juicio en Colombia, Buitrago también va a será investigado por el Departamento Nacionales de Derechos Humanos, lo que podría agregar más tiempo de cárcel a su sentencia si es hallado culpable de todos los delitos acusados.
“The Nurse” of Death
Héctor Albeidis Aroleda Buitrago, or “The Nurse” has been extradited to Colombia for the crimes he has committed against the members of the rebel group, FARC. Detained in Spain in 2015, he will face trial in Colombia, where the crimes were committed. Buitrago is charged with attempted homicide, homicide and abortion without consent. According to the media outlet, BBC, “On Friday (January 27), the Spanish authorities gave the green light at the request of a Colombian justice minister and agreed to turn him over to a court in Bogotá.”
Buitrago is accused of forcing the women in the rebel group, the FARC, to have abortions. Not only were they forced abortions, but they were often performed in dirty areas with no medication or clean operating instruments. Most of the women in the rebel group are from small indigenous villages throughout Colombia and were told that their pregnancy could interfere with their ability to fight. A former FARC fighter stated that she was forced to have up to 5 abortions before an investigation was initiated against Buitrago.
Not only will he face trial in Colombia, Buitrago will also be investigated by the National Department of Human Rights, which could add more jail time to his sentence if found guilty of all the offenses charged.
