Alexis Seeney,18, freshman, from Durham, North Carolina, not only focuses on her studies, but also works toward her promising future.

Majoring in digital arts, Seeney hones her skills as a graphic designer. “I started when I was in elementary school, at 11 years old” she says. With a strong interest in graphic arts and social networking, Seeney began using self-created HTML codes for profile backgrounds on MySpace.  Her love for creating original art has grown into using various computer software programs to create digital and vector art.

Seeney’s artwork is becoming a doorway to her success. She has received strong support for her artwork through social media by receiving likes from celebs, such as: Vashite, A$AP Rocky, Spike Lee, and Kendrick Lamar. Not only have celebrities shown support through liking her page, but they have also tweeted and posted pictures of themselves with her work.  In addition, Seeney has been featured in magazines such as XXL and JENESIS.

A simple tweet has started a firestorm of recognition that her work deserves. With the help of social networks, her art is displayed in magazines, on websites, throughout social media and in blogs across the web.

After browsing her work, it is easy to see how she came up with her company name, HypeForever.  She believes that original art and ideas are what people continue to talk about, they are more than trends, and her goal is to create original art that people will continue to talk about for years to come.

Don’t follow trends. Make your own.” Seeney is well aware that what she does is making a difference in the lives of youngsters by showing them that there are many ways to success.
