Additionally, the album “I Am,” by local southern rapper Yo Gotti, was just released. As someone who is a Gotti fan, the sudden exposure and cult like following that is developing is exhilarating. With the first tap of the play button, one is transformed into the gritty Memphis streets as Yo Gotti opens his life of trials and tribulations. Knowing the movement began from Ridge Crest apartments, where Yo Gotti grew up, reiterates the fact that through hard work and dedication anything is possible.

This Gotti album will be similar to his previous mix tapes “Cocaine Music 1-6.” Having watched Yo Gotti progress through his musical career, a personal bond develops between Gotti and his fans that allows each listener to feel as though Yo Gotti is speaking directly to them. As he bears his soul, while also digging into the listeners’ heart, he uses such melodic beats that are more than just music.

“I am” released on Nov. 19th, following his mix tape release the same day. The album is projected to be successfully commercially and in the urban communities. With Gotti’s release of “I Am” he solidifies himself in all his fans hearts and ears, explaining to his fans he is and always will be just like his followers.
