Beyoncé Breaks Record at Grammys

She now currently holds a record 32 wins. Before Beyoncé, the late Hungarian-British conductor, Georg Solti had 31 wins and 74 nominations.
Beyoncé won best R&B song for “CUFF IT,” while she was not in appearance, however as she was stuck in traffic outside Staples Center.
The host of the Grammys Trevor Noah stated: “For real, Beyoncé is on her way.”
The legendary musician Nile Rodgers accepted the award on her behalf by sharing his story about the song and giving thanks.
She also won best dance/electronic album for “Renaissance,” best traditional R&B vocal performance for “Plastic Off the Sofa,” and best dance recording for “Break My Soul.”
The crowd was in awe when she was present to accept her award for her album win.
“I’m trying not to be emotional. I’m trying to just receive this night. I want to thank God for protecting me. … I’d like to thank my Uncle Johnny, who’s not here, but he’s here in spirit.” Beyoncé said. She also thanked her parents, husband and three children as well as the “queer community for their love and for inventing this genre.”
Despite the unprecedented success, Beyoncé was upset once again for album of the year, losing to Harry Styles’s “Harry’s House.” This marked the fourth time Beyoncé was nominated, and overlooked for the award.
She has had several wins throughout her career, such as her first two wins with Destiny’s Child in 2001 and 2002 for best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals. In 2004, she won her first solo awards for best female R&B vocal performance, best song, best performance by a duo or group with vocals, best contemporary R&B album, and best rap/sung collaboration. All of these which are led to up the present.
Beyoncé is now tied with her husband, Jay-Z for 88 nominations making them the most nominated artists in Grammy history.
