Disney on Ice: Frozen and Encanto Come to NC
posted by Nicholas Robinson-Carter | November 23, 2022 | In Arts and CultureDisney on Ice returns to venues across North Carolina starting December 1, presenting two new shows: Frozen and Encanto. This will be the first time Disney brings two different shows into the family-friendly event.
The show takes Disney lovers on an epic journey to Arendelle as optimistic Princess Anna teams up with a mountaineer named Kristoff and his sidekick Sven to find Queen Elsa and break her icy spell. They are joined by the fan favorite funny and lovable character, Olaf the snowman.
Audiences will also journey into the world of Encanto as they meet the Madrigal family, all of whom have special gifts— everyone except for Mirabel. Soon she finds out that she may be the key to saving the family’s magic.
This is the first time for Encanto characters to come to life on ice. Not only that, but it shows the diversity in Hispanic and Latin American community.
“Disney on Ice is such an oasis of magic and positivity,” show director Adam Loosely stated. “I want people to come here to escape from some of the pressures that are in the world today enjoy time with your friends your family and leave with a smile on your face.”
Disney on Ice will travel to the Greensboro area December 1-4, then to Raleigh December 7-11, and make its final stop in Fayetteville on December 15-18.
