Prostitution Sting Involves Patriot’s Owner
posted by Dominque Elliott | March 28, 2019 | In News, SportsAccording to ESPN news, the New England Patriots owner, Robert Kraft was caught during a sting operation of a prostitution ring taking place in Jupiter, Florida. “The 77-year-old Kraft was one of 25 people involved in the alleged solicitation at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida,” ESPN reported. Kraft was caught twice paying for sex at a clandestine massage parlor. He is facing a possible first or second-degree charge.
After the initial news of his arrest, public opinion on whether Kraft should be convicted or resign from his position has fluctuated, especially from New England Patriot fans. According to MSNBC, fans seemed to react in disbelief.
“I think that we’re all innocent until proven guilty, so that’s what I think,” one fan stated to MSNBC. “If it’s true, it’s disappointing, but that’s business and that’s what the courts are for and police. It just hit the news, but I don’t know, man.”
“I am surprised by that,” another fan said reported to MSNBC. “I am surprised, absolutely. It stinks, you know. It’s a let down.”
Keyotta McRae, a pre-health student, said, “I feel that Robert Kraft should be convicted or relinquish ownership because he is a face of a team, and if he is not punished for wrongdoings– that shows to the players and other team owners that they can get away with being involved in prostitution, and that it is okay.”
