A.U.T.O.S. stands for Achieving Understanding Towards Off-Campus Students. This organization helps ensure the commuter students get a rich campus experience despite not living here.
The general meeting began with introducing everyone who came in as well as providing a raffle ticket to be entered in the drawing for a special prize at the end.
There were four members that are the leadership of A.U.T.O.S.: President Jaleigha Graham, Vice President Brianna Hall, Director of Marketing & Public Relations Kendriah Johnson, and Director of Logistics Alonzo Lunsford.
During the meeting, Graham talked about the mission statement of A.U.T.O.S. in a PowerPoint presentation. Their mission statement described how they are to inform, assist, and serve as advocates for all commuter students that attend FSU.
Hall explained the three goals they are provided with through A.U.T.O.S. The three are to Connect, Encourage, and Communicate. Next, Johnson mentioned the resources they have for organization and how the commuters would benefit.
To end the presentation, Lunsford discussed what affinity groups are. The affinity groups cater to the Bronco moms and dads, military-affiliated, first generation, adult learners, and more.
And what better way to end the meeting than with a raffle? Each commuter student was given a blue ticket to enter a chance to win a free parking pass.
Congratulations to the winner, who was a commuter student that transferred from Savannah State University.
