SGA Winners and Candidate Speeches
posted by Dominque Elliott | May 4, 2018 | In NewsThe student election campaign speeches opened this year with oration from Student Body Vice President Casey Anthony, and Student Body President Elliott Jackson. These were some of the following winners:
Kiante Bennett, who won Student Body Vice President, spoke eloquently that- “With transparency, student advocacy, and cohesiveness- we will make FSU whole. There are so many undercover student leaders here. Will you stand by me? My word is bond and we have the will to succeed, and we have the will to thrive.”
Christina Jones, who won Senior Class Queen, said, with an up-beat attitude, that she has three programs in mind that she wanted to use to improve the school. Ms. Jones wanted programs for mental health, financial literacy, and life after college- all to improve the student life and graduating process for FSU students.
Keyondre Currence, Senior Class King, spoke about his mission to, “Lead to get results, and represent to get inspired.” He ended his speech by saying; “Together we can lead each other to places of success.”
Charity Owen, Sophomore Class Queen, said she wanted to rekindle the Bronco family. She wanted make campus feel unified, and she plans to implement a plan to come together and become family. “We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.”
Natalie Cunningham, S.A.C Program Director, wanted to provide events that the student will enjoy next semester and increase campus collaboration. She wants to ensure events for years to come. “This is the return we will reap.”
Qaevon McCallum, who was already originally the S.A.C Business Manager, asked the student body to: “Let me continue to be great,” and to continue to work for this organization.
