A Guide on Managing Your Time in College
posted by Christian Parker | April 11, 2022 | In OpinionCollege can be so draining: from the classes to your social life to even a job. There are so many other things that require your time, and you still have to find a way to manage those things in order to benefit yourself.
It’s not that difficult to get better at managing your time even if you have a very active schedule day-to-day. In order to become more organized, more confident, and learn more effectively you must first understand how much time you have each day from the moment you wake up.
Once you have all your priorities in check, then you are now ready to write or type your very own schedule. This schedule is yours to help keep all your priorities in check and limit distractions.
You should also plan for future events like upcoming assignments or meetings, or possible job interviews. It’s very important for you to have that information accessible and ready to change at a moment’s notice.
Planning also helps students avoid the dreaded procrastination problem, which can be a slippery slope to stress, frustration, and poor grades. You must establish routines during your time that way you can get the hang on what your schedule says.
Don’t forget to use breaks and find free time to truly enjoy yourself, everyone needs some type of relaxation in their life.
I find it really easy to get together with peers and do your work together, it helps me because when others are doing work around me it motivates me into wanting to do it as well. Staying on top of your assignments and getting them done before the end of the week helps you enjoy your weekend and free time.
