Deion Sanders and UC
posted by Taquan Watson | October 10, 2023 | In SportsOkay, Okay, Okay, everybody relax. It’s early still for the University of Colorado Buffloes.
Yes, the back-to-back losses to Oregon (6-42) and USC (41-48) hurt. However, they are still in a good position to get in a bowl game.
I hope we weren’t just expecting a National Championship, from a team that was just 1-11. Let’s be realistic everybody. This isn’t Madden.
Deion Sanders (a.k.a. Coach Prime) is a mastermind. Trust me, he is one of, if not the greatest, cornerbacks of all time.
Think about it: Cornerback is one of the hardest football positions to play. It’s two-on-one against the smartest positions in football, the Quarterback, and one of the best athletes on the team, the wide receiver. That’s hard to do, especially at the level he did it at. You have to be smart, disciplined and controlled. Cornerbacks don’t win every battle. So being able to do that at the NFL level as one of the greatest shows his I.Q. level for the game.
He’s not new to coaching either. He’s been doing this for a minute.
So Coach Prime and the Buffs are okay.
Star cornerback Travis Hunter should be back soon. Shilo Sanders, Deion’s oldest son and safety, should be back next week, if not soon hopefully. Shedeur Sanders, Deion’s youngest son and quarterback, is adapting every week. He’s gone be the future, if not among this year’s Heisman candidates. When he puts up numbers, he puts up numbers. Last week against USC, he was 30-45, with 371 passing yards and 4 Touchdowns. That’s not even his best, Week 1 against TCU he put up an amazing 510 passing yards on 38-47 passing, and 4 touchdowns. When he’s hot and electric, watch out.
