Online Sports Betting Now Legal In NC
posted by Zaire Jones | March 12, 2024 | In SportsCalling all sports fans in North Carolina: Online sports betting is now legal in the Tar Heel State. Starting March 11, all sportsbooks such as FanDuel, DraftKings, ESPNBET and others go live at noon.
Sports betting has been legal ever since 2019 but only in person. On June 14 of last year, Governor Roy Cooper signed a law into legislation allowing people 21 and over to bet on sports. This move has been in the making for quite some time now. With states already on the bandwagon when it comes to sports betting, North Carolina wants a piece of the action now.
Over the past couple of weeks an abundance of ads have been released locally from FanDuel and DraftKings, promoting their platforms. FanDuel’s promo for North Carolina will be up to $300 in bonus bets once it’s live. People who sign up before March 11 will get $100 in bonus bets after launch. Customers can also receive $200 in bonus bets betting $5 on your first bet.
DraftKings Sportsbook promo for the state of North Carolina will be similar to FanDuel and the other sportsbooks opening.
Sports betting seems to bring the new wave as fans not only watch the games but to bet on teams and players to win some cash. With this news, the Tar Heel State looks to profit even more from sports in a different view.
