Senior 2023 Spotlight: Arts and Culture Editor Julia Voraz
posted by Nicholas Robinson-Carter | April 24, 2023 | In Arts and CultureFayetteville State University’s The Voice newspaper arts & culture editor, actress, and senior Julia Costa will be graduating this May.
Voraz is from São Paulo, Brazil, which the most populous city in Americas.
Voraz became a Bronco in 2021, becoming a communication and media studies major.
While attending FSU, this is Julia’s first and last time with The Voice student newspaper.
If one did not know, but Julia is also an aspiring actress. She was in two films that are on Amazon Prime – Moving Valentine (2022) and Careful What You Ask For (2021). Be sure to check those out.
After graduation, Voraz plans to “reinforce my calling to continue to refine my writing skills. I have a plethora of possibilities in mind that continue to involve communication and bringing light and exploring thought-provoking themes centered around women’s realities and how we navigate life’s complexities.”
She also said: “My love for acting brings me joy. Last year I starred in an Amazon Prime movie, and I’m curious to see where that can take me, too. Mystery surrounds my future endeavors, and I’ve faith that the universe will guide me towards the opportunities and align me with my highest good. The excitement of the unknown is propelling me forward, and I’m eagerly embracing the journey ahead with a high vibe attitude, ready to manifest my dreams in ways yet to be revealed.”
As she heads to the finish line as a Bronco, Julia wanted to leave some final words on journey as a college student: “Throughout my entire graduation journey, I couldn’t have imagined I would be where I am today. There were numerous moments when I faced challenges and felt the urge to give up, but I kept pushing forward. If you’re not graduating this year, remember that you have the power to choose how you respond to your emotions. Feeling the desire to give up is just a part of the journey. It’s okay to have doubts and encounter difficulties along the way. Sometimes, it may feel like there are stones blocking your path. But the moment you slip on your cap and gown, and pose for your graduation photos, you’ll feel an incredible surge of pride and joy. It will be a testament to your resilience and hard work, and no one can take that from you. Keep going, one day at a time, and before you know it, your graduation day will arrive, and it will be worth every moment of effort.”
Congratulations, Julia, and FSU wishes you the best on a successful career path in line. The Voice is also going to extremely miss you as arts & culture editor. Best wishes for your future endeavors.
