Skin is Art at the American Tattoo Expo
posted by James Winbush | April 24, 2024 | In Arts and Culture, NewsThe American Tattoo Expo was held April 11 through 14. The expo is an annual event that is held in over at the Crown Complex located in Fayetteville. The expo invites shops and artists from all over the country to the expo. Shops also get to compete for awards such as Best American Style, Horror, and Anime tattoos of the day. Also artists that have been seen on the TV series Ink Master made an appearance at the expo.
At the expo, there were over 30 shops that made an appearance. Some of these shops included Anvil Ink and Art, American Tattoo Society, New Addiction, and Blaq Lyte Tattoos.
If you’re looking for something to do with friends and family I would recommend this event. Even though all you could hear was the buzzing of tattoo guns, my mother and I found it to be an enjoyable event. They even had activities for kids, which included henna tattoos, temporary tattoos, and hair braiding. The expo also had a barbershop inside if people were looking to get a fresh haircut. Outside of the expo they had food trucks ranging from hibachi, Caribbean, and Mexican food.
