Whitney Houston: Movie And Legacy

Staring Naomi Ackie as Houston, the movie will focus on the life and legacy of the late R&B/pop superstar.
The trailer begins with the history of how Houston started signing and was eventually discovered by American record producer, Clive Davis.
The trailer also showed some scenes from her music videos from the ‘80s, including when she sang on the soundtrack of the movie The Bodyguard, and performed the National Anthem. The movie also showcases moments from her personal life, including her wedding day to R&B singer, Bobby Brown.
Houston was only 48 years old when she accidentally drowned in a bathtub due to the effects of heart disease and cocaine use. With the large amount of intrigue surrounding her life and legacy, the trailer has already amassed over 8.4 million views on YouTube.
Born in Newark, NJ, Houston started out singing in church as a young child. From there she got her stardom in the late ‘80s up until she passed. Houston had several albums to include ‘Whitney Houston’ (1985), ‘Whitney’ (1987), ‘I’m Your Baby Tonight’ (1990), ‘My Love Is Your Love’ (1998), etc.
Houston and her music were also featured in several movies, such as The Bodyguard (1992), Waiting to Exhale (1995), The Preacher’s Wife (1996), Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (1997), and Sparkle (2012).
