As the end of the fall semester begins to wind down, a new chapter begins. A new chapter especially for some of our seniors – graduation. Fayetteville State University Bronco seniors will be able to have the opportunity to graduate in the upcoming Winter Commencement. Yes, you heard right: the Winter Commencement is back.
The last time FSU had a Winter Commencement was in 2016, and was discontinued in 2017 due to difficulties finding a venue that would accommodate all considerations.
Now the seniors can be able to enjoy this wonderful achievement in their life because they have earned it.
The 2023 Winter Commencement will be held on Friday, December 15 at 10 a.m. in Capel Arena. This ceremony will include graduates from both summer and fall.
Graduation rehearsal will be on Thursday, December 14 at 2 p.m. in Capel Arena as well.
For those that are eligible to graduate in December, one must apply by October 30, complete the Graduation Student Survey (GSS) that is provided through your Bronco email, and make sure to pay the $75 student fee.
There will be a virtual informational session regarding winter graduation on Tuesday, November 28 from 3 – 4 p.m. and Wednesday, November 29 4 – 5 p.m. Registration is required in order to attend.
Congratulations to all our fellow Broncos for completing this milestone. We wish you all the best on your future endeavors. Happy graduation!
