Justin Pruitt Entrepreneur: “The Juice”
posted by Westley Reaves Jr. | April 25, 2023 | In NewsJustin Pruitt has made himself quite the entrepreneur on the campus of Fayetteville State University, making the most of social media posts with a ton of FSU students on Instagram and other platforms.
You may be asking why, that’s because he started selling on a campus a hair oil product called “The Juice,” which quickly gained a lot of popularity.
The product is a homemade organic, vegan and chemical-free hair growth oil Pruitt created with 9 different herbs and 5 different types of oils together. Justin started selling this product on campus about a month ago and has already sold over 200 plus and has recently started selling it at a local store here in Fayetteville North called Curate Essentials on Fort Bragg Road.
With this new product, he won 2 pitch competitions, one with Tulsa Initiative and another held at the Entrepreneurial Hub right here at FSU.
This popular product came from what Pruitt says was a vision he had before he fell asleep.
He said, “It was all a thought before it became a reality. Everything is just a thought before it becomes reality, but thoughts will just be thoughts if you don’t act.”
Pruitt was born in Cincinnati, but his family currently lives in Colorado.
Pruitt stated, “Moving to Colorado was definitely something different and something I had to get used to, especially the cold weather. But change is good. Change allows you to grow within yourself to adapt and develop resilience.”
You might be wondering how Pruitt even ended up in Fayetteville, so far away from family. Justin doesn’t really know either.
He said, “I wasn’t even planning to come here, I had made a last second choice to switch schools and come to FSU. And it was the best decision I could’ve ever made. I am now majoring in business marketing with a minor in entrepreneurship.”
He also followed by saying, “I also play for our championship winning football team. I love the team and it’s a family environment, we have the best coaches, players, and trainers anyone could ask for.”
Pruitt plans on continuing his entrepreneurship with “The Juice” and creating other products like organic and chemical-free body products for the community.
He also had some last words of advice for people: “Always be your most authentic self. The most genuine, real and pure will always win in the end.”
