Senior 2024 Spotlight: Shakenna Moore
posted by Nicholas Robinson-Carter | April 8, 2024 | In Arts and CultureFayetteville State University’s The Voice newspaper staff writer and senior Shakenna Moore will be graduating this May.
Moore was originally from Brooklyn, New York, but she resides in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Before becoming a Bronco, she attended Sandhills Community College in the fall 2020 and later received her associate’s degree.
Moore transferred to FSU during 2022-2023 academic year. She majored in communication and media studies.
She is active on campus, being involved in North Carolina Association of Educators (NCA), National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), and current staff writer for The Voice Student Newspaper.
After graduation, Moore just wants to take a moment and relax from all her years of schooling thus far. She has no plans right away.
As her time here as a Bronco comes to a close, Moore wanted to leave some special advice to tell her freshmen self: “Stay focused and push through until the end. It’s not as bad as you think.”
Congratulations, Shakenna, and FSU wishes you the best on a successful career path in line. The Voice is going to miss all the hard work you did for us this school year. Best wishes for your future endeavors. Stay tuned for our next senior spotlight from class of 2024!
